The glimmer of hope that I alluded to last time has widened into a chink following lower than forecast inflation which led to an unexpected interest rate “hold”. I would expect gilt yields  to decline in anticipation of  further inflationary falls but the glut of Government debt (both new and existing from quantitative tightening) is probably responsible for  the loss of nerve at present. Amidst the turmoil, TP2 fell 1.5% compared to a 2.7% drop for the Small Cap. On the bright side, there was news of a possible bid approach for my oldest holding, DX.
