Prosperity Minerals - Profits soar thanks to Chinese infrastructure growth

Prosperity Minerals, a fast-growing Chinese cement manufacturer and iron ore trader, is another company benefiting from the insatiable appetite for infrastructure investment in China. The company, which is due to start trading on AIM on 24 May (after we go to press), is raising £115m new money in order to pay down debt used to fund recent acquisitions and investment and all the indications suggest that the shares should be strong performers this year. Like many Chinese-based companies which have floated on AIM, Prosperity appears to have come from nowhere to the point where its profits have become very meaningful indeed.
