Sticking my neck out, I think we could be well set for the mother of all rallies. With investors fretting over so many issues, from rising interest rates, to the cost of living and the war in Ukraine, it feels like we’re close to a capitulation and possible market bottom. But it may take an event to galvanise investors.   I recall just ahead of Gulf War Two (2003) you could buy shares on a PE of 3 (remember Xansa?) and now we have Reach on a PE of 3.8 (and dividend yield of 5.8%) after brokers downgraded forecasts by just 6%. The reaction seems churlish given the twin headwinds of weaker advertising and further cost inflation are being mitigated by its high yielding PLUS products and accelerated cost cutting.
