After the strong gains made last time, the TMI Trader Portfolio moved into a consolidation phase, falling just £931 to £336,831 and therefore remains a whisker off its all-time high. This quiet month came in spite of a strong performance by the main indices with the FTSE-100 rising nearly 3% and the small caps moving ahead 1.8%, so we shouldn’t become too complacent. However, there were mitigating circumstances, particularly the tragic death of Carter and Carter’s founder, although management have shown amazing resilience by making two more acquisitions.
