In a month where the FTSE-100 fell by 7.2% and the small cap declined 3.2%, the TMI Trader Portfolio did well to gain 0.6% to £322,361, leaving it more than 222% ahead of its starting capital back in 2002. Once again Aquarius Platinum put on a strong performance with the shares briefly spiking to an all-time high of 741p (making for a gain of 360% on our original buy price) thanks to a surge in the platinum price to another new high. Its H1 results were also strong with net profit increasing 25% and cash jumping 74p per share.
