Autumn can be torrid for markets (think October ’87 crash and Lehman crisis in ’08) and with the FTSE-100 and Small-Cap falling 4.1% and 5.0% respectively, the TMI Trader Portfolio’s 5.5% decline wasn’t disastrous although we did suffer a shock decline at CAKE. Things are still being investigated but the former FD has been accused of fraud after an accounting black hole was discovered and this has required an emergency fundraising. We have written down our holding to the placing price. Elsewhere, B&M and Dunelm have been strong and NMC upgraded profit guidance, but our oil shares have fallen in line with softer prices.
