The portfolio fell 0.4% over the month, outperforming the FTSE-100and FTSE-All Share indices which fell 5.2% and 4.9%respectively.    The small decline was caused by S&Ufalling through our 410p stop-loss, prior to issuing anotherdisappointing trading statement. The company warned (for the secondtime) that its bad debts were increasing in its core home creditdivision, which would lead to a 10% fall in profit. Our stop-losssystem mitigated the losses on S&U, but it is somewhat ironic tonote that two other stop-loss victims, Henlys and French Connection,have since recovered back to our original buying price.  Businesswise, neither of these two companies have performed badly recently, butwe lost out due to the abn ...
