Despite the sombre mood music prevalent in markets, TP2 enjoyed its best ever month (+4.8%), outperforming the main indices. A big gainer was Sureserve, which agreed a take-over from a European private equity firm although the premium looks mean given an earlier double-digit forecast upgrade. Playtech has soared above £6 for the first time since April last year while SigmaRoc rallied after director buying in the wake of another “ahead of” update. Babcock flagged a potential provision against an onerous contract but that was more than offset by net debt c.£150m lower than forecast, opening the way for dividends from FY’24.
