A strong month for the TMI Trader Portfolio, which rose 3.3% to £717,482. New highs include IG Design after a positive update while Tritax and Hostelworld are on the cusp of breaking out. However, the big story is soaring oil prices, propelling good gains for Tullow and Premier after a long wait. With surplus inventories eliminated and President Trump’s finger hovering on the Iran sanctions trigger, conditions feel like 2006 when we had multi-baggers Burren Energy and Dana Petroleum in the portfolio. What other oilies could we add? On our short list is Cairn Energy (TMI: Feb ’18) and we’re speaking with management soon.
