A tough month for the Trader Portfolio, which is down £15,421 or 4.6%, although the gain since the start is still an excellent 222%. While there was one stock specific problem, most of the fall came from a general de-rating caused by the first anecdotal evidence that the credit crunch has affected consumer spending and therefore confidence in the economy. The one saving grace is our high cash balances, which leaves us well-placed to alight on the fantastic buying opportunities that are beginning to appear.
