A relatively quiet month for the TMI Trader Portfolio, which fell 1.4% to £344,626 at a time when the FTSE-100 rose to a new high of 6,731, although the FTSE-Small Cap index actually fell slightly. Investors generally looked for any excuse to take profits and several constituents saw slight pull-backs, with the only violent fall being Carter & Carter, which fell through our stop-loss and was sold at 1020p. Nevertheless, it still netted a useful gain of £5,379 or 45% in just eight months. On a more positive note, there were two new highs to report including NCC, ahead of its promotion to the Full List and Synergy Healthcare, following forecast-beating final results.
