H&T - Broker lifts price target to £4

After brokers raised forecasts four months ago, pawnbroker H&T announced full year results will now be marginally ahead of even those upwardly revised numbers. The tail-wind of a stronger gold price has helped but it’s also made progress developing newer areas like personal loans, Buyback and FX.The largest division, pawn broking, increased its pledge book by 5.9% to £41.3m, driven by a new format focused on higher value loans at lower interest rates. Personal loans grew 124% to £9.4m.During the year the group closed eight under performing stores and as at 31 December operated from 181 stores comprising 146 H&T pawnbrokers and 35 est1897 retail focused stores.FinnCap expects to raise both FY’16 and FY’17 eps for ...
