In its pre-close update H&T announced that it expects a good first half trading performance and to deliver full year profit in line with expectations. The core pawn broking side has continued to perform strongly, with double-digit year-on-year growth in its pledge book and the pawn service charge. This has been helped by an increase in average loan size, a marginal improvement in redemption and faster than expected pledge book build in the group's newer stores.
