Pawnbroker H&T has said all its stores have now re-opened following the lock down closure, which had started 24th March. Adjusting to the self distancing conditions, the group has also implemented an online pawnbroking payment portal allowing customers to settle loans remotely. To date 12,000 customers have used this to make payments of £3m. Throughout the period it has also continued to sell jewellery online and maintained its gold processing operation, smelting gold to avail of the high price. H&T has also offered a package of measures to help its customers, including an interest free holiday on outstanding loans while its stores were closed and allowing customers the option to take a 3 month payment ...
