The shares touched £18 for the first time since last autumn after Hill & Smith accompanied interims with a guidance upgrade. Revenues grew 20% (9% organic, 8% acquisitions, 3% FX) with two of its three cylinders firing well. In Engineered Solutions sales grew 17% at constant currency with the EBIT margin up a massive 6.7% to 17%; Galvanising grew 10% with margins down 2.6% to 22.7% (as expected with lower volumes and higher energy prices in the UK); and Roads and Security declined 2% with margin up marginally to 6.5%.
