The shares sit tantalisingly under 400p after Hill & Smith issued a statement saying Q3 saw robust trading, especially in the US (c.40% of sales).In infrastructure products, growth continues to be driven by a buoyant utilities market, which is benefiting from a long awaited upgrade to the USA power transmission grid.  Its pipe supports are used in power station structures, are in demand. In the UK, H&S said the UK road programmes have also started to return to normal activity levels after the Olympics – a good Q4 is in sight as several managed motorway schemes commence.
