The USA narrowly avoided a catastrophic debt default in the eleventh hour.  However, the debt is on a wild ride and is projected to soar to staggering heights from just under 100% of GDP pre-pandemic to a mind-boggling 129% by 2025 and a jaw-dropping 195% by 2053.
