The shares have hit a new high of £25, up £10 since my most recent note in August 2020. At that time eps forecasts were for 60p for the year ended March ‘21 but Telecom Plus has since gone on a massive upgrade cycle - five in the past 12 months alone according to Numis - and that broker now expects 96.8p for the current year (FY’23), rising to 109.1p and then 130p in ‘24 and ‘25. The latest upgrade followed interims to end September, which showed sales and pretax profit rising 52% and 23%, respectively, to £562m and £32.1m while the group has raised its full year pretax guidance to “at least £95m” after OFGEM provided greater clarity by raising the price cap to over £4,000 in Q4 ‘23 vs £3,549 in Q3.
