Government legislation to deregulate the telecoms and energy sectors has been so successful that a host of new entrants have flooded in and captured large chunks of these huge markets. One such player that has recently hit the headlines following the extraordinary response to its "free" broadband offer has been TMI favourite Carphone Warehouse, 299p. Another firm, although of lower profile, which has also developed a decent growth record is AIM listed, multi utility reseller Telecom Plus, which in the last four years has seen its turnover balloon from £32m to £136m.
