“Stunning†is one word to describe direct marketing group 4Imprint’s interim results, which recorded a 23% surge in turnover on a constant currency basis - and 14% increase after translating back to sterling – to £115.65m. Operational gearing benefits translated this into a 52% and 45% jump in pretax profit and eps respectively to £5.85m and 16.0p. Net cash rose £10.4m to £26.1m, helped by £5.9m from the sale of SPS. The group, which supplies junkets such as fleeces, t-shirts, badges, bags, sweaters and pens with the client’s name emblazoned on them in order to promote their brand at a trade show or promotional give-away, grew sales in their core US market by 23% to US$185.1m.
