In spite of a slight lull in its fourth quarter caused by the US Presidential election, promotional products group 4Imprint still posted strong final results, marginally ahead of expectations, with turnover and pretax profit rising 12% and 14% respectively to US$559m and US$38.4m. Eps increased 12% to 99 cents.Its main US business, which supplies fleeces, t-shirts, sweaters, pens and bags with the name of their corporate client emblazoned onto them, increased sales 13% to US$541m (97% sales) while operating profit grew 14% to US$38.4m.The group generated a 12% increase in orders, with orders from new customers rising 6% and those from existing ones increasing 15%, helped by its “blue box” sample mailings.
