First half results from Topps were in line with previously upgraded expectations with turnover, pretax profit and eps rising 12%, 69% and 75% respectively to £98m, £8m and 3.2p. Net debt fell from £44.9m to £36.3m. Helped by the housing boom and rise in consumer confidence, like-for-like sales rose 10.2% last year, while store numbers have risen from 320 to 330 since March 2013.
