Restaurant group has continued its run of generating impressive double-digit growth with results for the six months ended 29 June showing turnover, pretax profit and eps rising 10%, 12% and 15% to £308m, £33.7m and 12.8p respectively. Cash flow was strong, increasing from £49m to almost £56m. The company, which trades through restaurant chains such as Frankie & Benny’s, Chiquito, Coast to Coast and Garfunkels, generated a 2.5% like-for-like sales improvement, which would have been bigger but for the World Cup distraction as well as poor cinema attendance in June.
