Six years after originally being named provisional preferred bidder, defence support services firm Babcock has finally signed a 30 year contract worth a gross £3 bn. with the Royal School of Military Engineering. This public private partnership, which will be delivered by Holdfast Training Services, a joint venture between Babcock and Carillion, involves the provision of training and training support as well as various facilities management services.Babcock's share will be £1.5 bn. over this period,  which  will substantially bolster its order book thereby increasing the robustness of broker forecasts.
