Defence services firm Babcock is one of just a handful of firms to have issued forecast busting results recently and judging by the way the shares have surged in the past few days investors clearly believe the  firm is capable of continuing to churn out rapid profit growth.Following its £350m acquisition of the prized naval shipyard in Devonport, Babcock's main line of work is now marine services (55% profit), which provides maintenance, refit and new-build of warships for the Royal Navy.
