Essentra has announced plans to return the proceeds from the Packaging and Filters disposals, with £90m via special dividend (c. 30p a share, on the register as at 21 March) and £60m share buy back, in aggregate 8.5% of its market value. It leaves Essentra as a pure play on Components.  Earlier, its full year update revealed results will be in line despite a soft Q4. Europe (over 50% sales) is outperforming but USA (30% sales) experienced revenue declines reflecting destocking by distributors.
