A decent start to the year for Essentra with all three divisions posting double digit growth. In Components, where it makes caps, cable ties and plugs, like-for-like growth was 15.9% with the order book strong and it still only has a c.4% share of the £8 billion market, says broker Peel Hunt. In Packaging (tear tapes and serialization markings for the healthcare space), underlying sales growth was 11.1%  as the unwinding of Covid-19 allows more people access to elective surgeries and prescriptions.
