Easyjet was not immune to the terrorist events but it showed resilience with passengers carried increasing by 8.1% to 16.1m in the first quarter ended 31 December, as capacity grew by 7.3% to 17.8m seats while the load factor improved 0.6% to 90.3%. However strong revenue per seat (RPS) performance in October was offset by the tragic events in Egypt and Paris and for the quarter as a whole revenue per seat fell 3.7%. Sharm impacted RPS by 1.5% in Q1 while Paris shaved 2% off.Total revenue fell 0.1% to £930m, but it benefited from a 3.7% reduction in cost per seat as fuel prices fell.
