Armed with the most highly prized routes across Europe and growth in eps from 10.4p in FY’04 to 139.1p in FY’15 - in spite of curve balls from the Iraq War and volcanic ash clouds - low cost budget airline, Easyjet, could seemingly do no wrong. The shares soared spectacularly from £3 in 2011 to a peak of £19 in April ’15 but a blizzard of terrorist attacks in Paris, Brussels, Nice, Sharm El Sheik and Turkey along with Brexit uncertainty, sent the shares to a low of 874p in October ‘16. But the company is nothing if not resilient and latest air traffic figures for April showed an 11.7% year-on-year increase in passengers to 7.1m and a sharp improvement in load factor (aircraft seat utilisation) from 90. ...
