The shares spiked violently higher after wallpaper and fabric design group, Sanderson Design, my main write-up just two months ago at only 122p, announced that final results for the year to 31 January were ahead of expectations thanks to a strong performance in H2. Despite lockdowns in Q1 this year, current trading is also ahead of expectations. Full year pretax profit was £7.1m (forecast: £6.4m), which includes £2.7m Government support.
