Over the month I met with Lisa Montague and Michael Williamson, CEO and CFO, respectively, of Sanderson Design Group (formerly Walker Greenbank), the specialist manufacturer of branded wall coverings and fabrics for the home. The group, which owns seven consumer brands including Morris and Co, Sanderson and Zoffany (all upmarket heritage) as well as entry level ones such as Clarke & Clarke, was resilient in lock-down and following a brace of “ahead of expectations” updates in December and January, it now expects to report full year pretax profit of not less than £6.3m for the year ending 31 January ‘21.
