Management put out a statement in response to the 42% one day price fall on concerns over the possibility it might breach banking covenants due to a prolonged shut down of its stores, which are now shuttered due to COVID-19.Hollywood Bowl has stated like-for-like sales rose 9% and revenue 12.5% in the five months ended 29 February (pre COVID) and Investec says its H1 forecast is now for EBITDA of c. £22.5m. In response the company is reducing costs and capital expenditure projects.Investec notes Hollywood Bowl would be “way down the list of leisure / retailers banks would be concerned about” as its balance sheet is strong.
