The shares are on the charge as the market turns “risk on” while trading has retained resilience with guidance unchanged for adjusted pretax profit of £450m this year. Helped by increasing bulk sales, more than offsetting deteriorating open market private sales in the past four weeks, H1 23’s private sales reservation rate was 0.86 homes per site per week, slightly higher than H1 22’s  0.84. Partnerships grew completions for mixed tenure developments by 6% at 3,203, while the order book stood at £3bn. Merger savings targets are unchanged while net debt, which has risen to c.£330m in June, is forecast to fall back to £150m at year-end.
