S4 reassured investors with interims ahead of previously lowered forecasts. Overall first half EBITDA was £30.1m, down 12% but ahead of consensus forecasts for £22.3m reflecting continued investment in hiring for expansion and a normalization of travel and office costs (burning shoe leather to manage accounts / close deals). That investment did land two new “whopper” clients (revenues US$20m), taking the total to eight.
