Interims for the six months ended October were slightly ahead of expectations with sales and pretax profit up 6.5% and 9.7%, respectively, to £152.1m and £20.8m. The resilience reflects the loyalty of the customer base with 91% of sales from existing customers. By division, Moonpig’s revenues grew 4.9%  to £108m and Greetz (Holland) fell 9.8% to £25.3m but management are rolling out new initiatives such as video and audio messages while introducing reminders (birthdays etc.) to increase purchasing frequency.
