One of our recent property success stories has been self-storage operator, Big Yellow, which was tipped at 314p in February last year and has since motored to a high of 705p. The key to its success has been strong and predictable cash flows in the core operating business of self storage allied to massive property development gains as its sites are transformed into lucrative business units. Another company which operates in the same space is AIM-listed Lok ‘n’ Store and following a call from its public relations people, we recently met up with its chief executive and co-founder, Andrew Jacobs.
