The shares had smoothly approached £6 but were pegged back by Easyjet’s Q3 update. Pretax profit increased £50m to £286m, in line with consensus, reflecting the late Easter (which had landed in Q2 last year) and strong demand in its primary airport network. Moreover, Easyjet Holidays continued its strong performance and is expected to achieve over £235m pretax profit in FY25 versus £190m last year.  Impressively, Easyjet has increased its capacity (measured by average seat kilometres) by 8%, but revenue per average seat km only rose 0.5%.
