Luceco - Strong Q4 leads to “beat”

Finals were slightly ahead of expectations with operating profit of £29m, up 21% year-on-year, driven by a 16% rise in turnover to £243m and a 0.5% rise in operating margin to 12%. The latter was helped by improved cost dynamics (including falling shipping freight rates near the end.) Like-for-like revenues rose 5.8%, including 27% growth in international markets, versus a market decline of c 2.5% and the outperformance was boosted by Luceco’s significant weighting in EVs, which grew over 26%. By division, Wiring Accessories grew sales 32% to £109m with profit up 27% to £19.1m. LED Lighting was unchanged at £78.4m but profit rose by half to £4.1m and Portable power grew sales 16% to £55m with profit up 35% to £5.8m. ...
