Plus500 - VIX volatility spike leads to upgrades

One major consequence of President Trump’s trade turmoil has been a sharp rise in market volatility, with significant daily sell-offs on the NASDAQ often followed by sharp relief rallies. These rallies were driven by the temporary suspension - 90 days - of some of the more aggressive proposed tariffs. Amid this turbulence, the so-called “fear index” (VIX) spiked in early April. As a result, shares in financial trading platforms like IG Group, 1100p, and Plus500 surged.
