In an effort to access new markets online, CFD provider Plus500 has announced the acquisition of Cunningham Commodities, an Illinois, USA-based, regulated Futures Commission Merchant and software company, which has developed a sophisticated technology trading platform. The US$30m deal expands Plus’ footprint into the “growing but under penetrated” US retail trading market in futures and options on futures, with retail volumes growing 84% since 2017.
