The shares have jumped 75p since early July as oil services firm Hunting confounded the soggy macro with a second upgrade since May. Full year guidance of US$96m-100m is a 6% increase in May and compares to original guidance of US$88m. Interestingly, it’s put out new guidance for 2024 of US$125m-135m, 21% above consensus of US$107m. The outlook for 2024 is improving as sales order books increase, which is evident in the 14% rise in the order book to c.US$530 - 550m at mid-year, from US$473m six months earlier. North America was materially ahead of expectations, primarily due to international orders for South America, driving the performance of the US Manufacturing business.
