In what has been an exceptionally tough period for house builders, Crest Nicholson’s final results unveiled adjusted pretax profit of £41m (below already downgraded guidance of £45m-£50m). Revenues fell 28% to £657.5m driven by a 26% reduction in completions to 2,020 and eps fell to 7.0p (FY22: 10.3p). Profits were also hit by the identification of further incremental costs at its large project in Farnham while it also expects to record a non-cash charge of £13m relating to a low-rise apartment scheme damaged by fire in 2021.
