The shares rallied towards their highs after the Southern-focused house builder revealed strong final results with sales of £1bn reached for the first time (+24% year-on-year). Pretax profit rose 27% to £195m while eps was up 26% to 60.9p. A temporary reduction in land purchases combined with strong cash flow meant it swung from net debt of £30.6m to net cash of £77m.Growth was driven by a 5% increase in volume of homes sold to 2,870 (2015: 2,725), shrugging off the EU Leave vote while it notes the housing market continues to show robust characteristics, underpinned by strong demand, a “benign” land market and pro-housing Government policies.Crucially, it’s reiterated being on track to achieve 4,000 homes in FY’19 with its yo ...
