Hostelworld’s pre-close update revealed full year results will be in line with expectations, with analysts raising their forecasts a little too. The group delivered 6% bookings growth for the year, although there was a slow down in H2 to 1% growth, as terrorism impacted.More positively, bookings at its flagship Hostleworld brand rose 13% year-on-year, with 6% growth in H2. Gross average booking value rose 2% on constant currency to Eu11.5.Also encouraging was the increase in mobile bookings from 47% to 54% of the total and this helped drive a reduction in marketing spend.
