Casual dining group Loungers cheered investors by saying “profitability will be slightly ahead of expectations” for the year just ended on sales of £237m, 5% above consensus forecasts. Like-for-like sales were +22% over the same period in 2019. Net debt fell almost £45m to just £2.6m, comfortably better than broker Singer’s expectations for debt of £24.7m.Over the course of the year it opened a record 27 new sites (26 Loungers, one Cosy Club) taking the total to 195. CEO Nick Collins also said, “the new site pipeline is in excellent shape and we are optimistic as we head into FY ‘23.”Singer has left forecasts unchanged – eps of 10.3p for FY’23 -  but sees “upside risk.” The prospective PE might seem high at 21 but ...
