Shares of casual dining operator Loungers surged towards their high after it released strong interims, the highlight being a remarkable 23.4% like-for-like sales increase for H1 to 3 October (but flattered by the reduced VAT benefit). All times of day were in growth across both its Lounges and Cosy Club brands with brunch, cocktails, puddings and premium drinks particularly strong. Investment in outdoor areas, its order at table app and improved menus were also contributing factors.
