While many companies struggle with the unprecedented array of headwinds Begbies Traynor, the corporate insolvency specialist, has gone from strength to strength now that the Government has lifted restrictions on creditors chasing company debts through the courts. Begbies’ “Red Flag Alert,” its proprietary algorithm that measures corporate distress signals, indicates a 19% year-on-year increase of companies in critical financial distress while County Court Judgements have risen 157%. No surprise then that  on 19th May it announced results for the year ended 30th April would be “comfortably ahead of expectations”.
