Insolvency practitioner Begbies Traynor’s update revealed a strong increase in turnover from £37.5m to c. £52m in the six months ended 31 October with pretax profit expected to rise from £5m to c.£8m. As previously guided, full year results will have a second half weighting, with the latest insolvency statistics for October 2021 showing CVLs (company voluntary liquidations) 85% higher than in October 2020 and 19% higher than October 2019, offsetting a lower level of administrations.Net cash rose from £0.7m to £1.2m even after acquisition and deferred consideration payments of £3m, leaving plenty of firepower for more deals.Shore Capital forecasts pretax of £11.5m and eps o ...
