You’d think that the Brexit overhang would affect a business like Auto Trader, which owns a digital automotive market place for used cars but not a bit of it. Interim results showed revenues, pretax profit and eps up 7%, 9% and 12%, respectively, at £177m, £114.5m and 9.8p. These were ahead of brokers’ expectations.Cash generated from operations rose 12% to £129m, reducing leverage to 1.3x, even despite returning £80m to shareholders via buy-backs and dividends.
