Hostelworld, the online marketplace for hostel-focused bookings, released full year results slightly ahead of expectations with EBITDA up 10% (13% at constant currency) at Eu26.4m (forecast: Eu25.5m). This reflects a 6% increase in group bookings to 7.5m with core Hostelworld brand bookings up 13% and although the average booking value was up just 2% at constant currency, marketing efficiencies led to a 16% rise in constant currency profit after tax to EU21.7m.
